DIY face mask // exfoliates + glows up skin

Hey lovelies! Its been a little while since I wrote about a DIY, and since I’ve recently started using a new face mask I make myself, I thought I’d share it here on my blog. This mask is very soothing, moisturizing and glows the skin right up. As the mask targets clogged pores and harmful bacteria, both of which may contribute to breakouts, this mask is ideal for acne-prone skin, but works well with all skin types. I was happy to discover it worked well on my extremely sensitive, acne-prone skin.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons ground coffee {works as a gentle exfoliant which unclogs pores}

2 teaspoons unrefined virgin coconut oil {moisturizes with the aid of antioxidants to leave the skin soft and supple}

1 teaspoon pure honey {effectively rids the skin’s surface and pores of bacteria and impurities}

Directions

1. Mix together the ingredients until throughly combined and the mixture is a thick, somewhat creamy substance.

2. Before applying the mask, make sure of course that your face is clean and totally free of makeup and other products. With the fingertips, apply gently all over the face, being careful to avoid the mouth and eye areas.

3. Keep the mask on for 15 to 30 minutes, then rinse completely off with cool water and pat the skin dry with a clean towel.

4. Store any leftover face mask in an airtight container in a cool place until the next use.

This mask can be used up to 2-3 times per week. {Its recommended that you exfoliate your skin at least twice per week as part of a regular skincare routine.}

The mask itself smells amazing and although the ground coffee is used as an exfoliant in it, this is still quite a gentle treatment on the skin. After washing off this face mask, my skin appeared noticeably brighter  and looked super glowy and healthy all around. Hope you can try this DIY face mask yourself and let me know how you like it! 💕

XoXo,

Veronica
